The electric High Voltage Heater (HVH) is the ideal heating system for plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV). It converts DC electric power into heat with practically no losses. Powerful similar to its namesake, this high-voltage heater is specialized for electric vehicles. By converting electrical energy of battery with DC voltage, ranging from 300 to 750v, into abundant heat, this device provides efficient, zero-emission warming-all throughout the interior of the vehicle.
 
Our high-voltage coolant heaters can be used for improving battery energy performance in EVs and HEVs. In addition it allows comfortable cabin temperatures to be generated in a short time enabling a better driving and passenger experience. With high thermal power density and fast response time due to their low thermal mass, these heaters also extend pure electric driving range as they use less power from the battery.

Design principle

According to the voltage requirement of 600V, the PTC sheet adopts 3.5mm thickness and Tc210ºC, which ensures good withstand voltage and durability. The internal heating core components of the product are divided into 4 groups, which are controlled by 4 IGBTs.In order to ensure the protection level of the product IP67, the heating core component of the product is installed into the lower base, sealed with potting glue in the lower base, and potted to the upper surface of the D-shaped tube. After assembling other parts, use a gasket to press and seal between the upper and lower bases to ensure good waterproof performance of the product.
